Under Lag (2022:482) om elektronisk kommunikation, anything stored in your browser beyond what the site strictly needs requires your consent first — and refusing has to be as easy as agreeing. On this site the two buttons are the same size, in the same place, with the same weight.

What we store without asking

Only what the shop cannot function without. These are not used to track you and they carry no advertising identifier.

claspwork.basket.v1: Your basket contents. Local storage, stays until you clear it or empty the basket. Never leaves your browser until you check out.
claspwork.cookie-choice.v1: Whether you accepted or refused the non-essential category, so we do not ask again on every page. Local storage.

What we ask about first

Measurement — how many people reached a page, which pieces get looked at, where a checkout was abandoned. Useful to us, not necessary to you, and therefore not set unless you say yes.

If you refuse, we set nothing in this category and the site works exactly as it did before. There is no reduced version of the shop for people who say no.

What we never set

Advertising or retargeting cookies.
Cross-site tracking identifiers.
Anything that builds a profile of you.
Anything at all connected to Metal Match. Those answers stay in the page and are gone when the tab closes.

Changing your mind

Clear this site’s data in your browser and the choice is forgotten; the notice will appear again on your next visit and you can answer differently. Every browser has this under privacy or site settings.

We also honour Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a refusal of the non-essential category without asking you again.

Third parties

Our hosting provider sets short-lived technical cookies for load balancing and abuse prevention. If we add a spam-prevention challenge to the forms it will set a token for the duration of that check. Neither is used for advertising or profiling.
